As you probably are aware, our Colorado weather plays a very important part in growing and producing of any plant here in this climate. Fruit trees have the most difficulty because of their nature. Light, warmth, nutrition, and moisture are the key elements that give a fruit tree its start to producing fruit. Given that we have some control over the nutrition and moisture, by providing good healthy soil for the tree to grow in, and by watering as needed, nature has control over the light and warmth. When we have all of these elements working together at the right time of the year, the tree will produce fruit. We usually know by the middle of June if we will have fruit for the fall. 	Peaches contain lycopene, lutein, carotenes, potassium, flavonoids, and natural sugars. Lycopene and lutein are especially beneficial in the prevention of heart disease, macular degeneration, and cancer.
Grapes contain vitamins A, C, vitamin B6, and folate. They contain minerals like potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, and selenium, as well as trace amounts of copper, manganese, and zinc.
